Don’t forget that we publish The Scott Letter Online, a free e-mail newsletter on closed-end funds. Be sure to tell your family, friends, financial advisor and colleagues about this valuable investment tool.

"The specialized and global nature of Closed-End Fund Advisors is the primary reason we use CEFA as our investment manager. By concentrating your investment in CEFs, which are little understood by the investing public. They are not popular among brokers for commercial reasons so the self-same investing public rarely has the opportunity to include such funds in its portfolio. However, CEFA's dedication to this form of investing, including George Cole Scott's book on the subject and The Scott Letter: Closed-End Fund Report, has exposed many of us to this diversifying investment vehicle.

CEFs usually trade at a discount and hence provide an economical means of buying value, as well as a "cushion" should the value of the underlying securities decline. Because these funds cover securities from all over the world, this inexpensive vehicle may be used to obtain access to markets where gains appear likely to occur.

My wife and I feel that CEFs, which CEFA has made available to us, have provided a safe and profitable way for us to invest."

"I have worked with George Scott since 1972 as my investment consultant and as a CEFA client since he purchased the firm in1996. I am very satisfied with the overall and personal service of CEFA and in particular, with the detailed and up to date research that you do on closed-end funds. I particularly like the fact that you research a very diverse range of closed-end funds with different investment goals and have achieved a balanced and diverse investment portfolio for me."
